First things first, ensure you have at least one miner from The Rune Guardians Miners ordinals collection, and the required THE•RUNE•GUARDIANS•MINERS runes for your miner. Read the Mining Requirements then come back here.
Now that you have your miner and the necessary runes, you're ready to start! Travel to Midgard https://theruneguardians.com and login. Follow the step by step instruction here. If it’s your first visit, you’ll need to complete the beginner’s guide, which will teach you the basics of mining.
Access your Profile from the game's Menu.
The game wallet is used to deposit and withdraw TRG and TRGM runes from the game. While you will earn TRG runes as you start mining Crystals, it’s a good idea to deposit some in advance if you want to make purchases in the Marketplace or participate in Raffles and Auctions.
After making a deposit or withdrawal, wait for the first confirmation, then click the refresh icon to update your in-game wallet balance. Your updated balance will appear in this panel. Visit the Wallet page for more details.
The Status panel displays your level and in-game balance.

Open the Dashboard from the game's Menu so you can get familiar with your Miners and Guardians.
Now that we know how to read the Dashboard, let's checkout the Leaderboard to see our Rank.

Runic Souls (Mining Power) is determined by the total Runes used by your active Miner, along with any boosts from your Guardians. You also receive credit for additional inactive TRGM runes in your wallet, but it's more advantageous to have an active Miner. In the example below, Iceman:
1880 TRGM Runes
14 Miners
1871 Active Runes
100% Mining Boost
To calculate your Runic Souls, multiply the number of active Runes by your mining boost. For example, if you have 1,871 active Runes and a 100% boost, you double the active Runes to get 3,742 Runic Souls.
Total Runic Souls: (1871 ) * 2 = 3742
There are five tiers, each determined by your total Runic Souls. This tier system allows players to progress up the ranks and compete within their category while still rewarding those who own more miners and accumulate more Runic Souls. This structure ensures a balanced competition, giving everyone a chance to advance and achieve top positions.
Elite: 3201 Runic Souls and higher.
Legendary: 801 to 3200 Runic Souls.
Master: 401 to 800 Runic Souls.
Commander: 201 to 400 Runic Souls.
Novice: 1 to 200 Runic Souls.
Your score is based on your Runic Souls plus XP, with XP having a greater impact on the overall score. This system means active players can climb the ranks and even surpass less active ones, regardless of the number of assets they own.
For example, Iceman has reached the top of his category by being the most active, despite not owning the most assets. This encourages consistent participation and rewards engagement in the game.

Legendary: Access to Mines from Level 1 to 4.
Master: Access to Mines from Level 1 to 3.
Commander: Access to Level 1 and Level 2 Mines.
Novice: Access to Level 1 mines

You might be wondering how Crystals are converted into Runes.
Every 7-10 days, the Crystals collected by all miners are automatically converted into THE•RUNE•GUARDIANS (TRG) Runes, the primary in-game currency. TRG features a 🔥 burning mechanism and is used for purchasing items, participating in raffles, auctions, and more. The number of Runes you receive is based on the total available in the Distribution Pool and the amount of Crystals you’ve contributed, meaning your share grows with your mining efforts compared to others.
Where are all these TRG Runes coming from you may be asking. These are runes we purchase straight from Magic Eden. We use the sats we earned from mining bitcoin with our Hashlings, and from the interest we receive for Lending Bitcoin in Liquidum.
Explore the entire knowledge base to uncover more about the game. This is just the beginning! I recommend checking out the Trader's Square for Marketplace trading, or visiting the Guardian's Raffle to participate in our weekly raffles. There's a lot more to discover, so take your time and enjoy the journey!
An active Miner is indicated by a heart icon and a visible pulse effect around the miner. In this example, there are two active miners: one with 579 TRGM Runes and another with 538 TRGM Runes. The number of runes required to activate your miners depends on their rarity. Check out the Miners Distribution Table.
If you own a Rune Guardian (Keeper, Sentinel, or Guardian), you can use them to boost the performance of your miners.
The amount of boost you receive is based on the rarity of your Rune Guardians. In the example below you can see that these two Guardians will boost the miners by 125%. Check out the Guardians Distribution Table.
After the 2-hour mining session, click the claim button to collect your Crystals.
